All Civano is invited to join our community gardeners for a work day on Sunday, February 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. Come any time and stay as long as you wish. This is a good way to connect with folks and share ideas for your spring gardening.
Our gardeners have some impressive vegetables growing. Right now, gardeners are harvesting tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, peas, and other wonderful healthy foods. EATING LOCAL AT ITS BEST is our motto for the Gardens. We have a few roses blooming and lots of finches and sparrows are visiting during this season. And, of course, the fire pit and barbeque area is always available to the community.
The work day will include a bit of clean-up and spruce-up, trimming and weeding. All are welcome. If you can’t join us on February 23rd, stop by anytime to enjoy the beauty, peace and quiet of our Community Gardens.
Call Sharlene 235-0346 or Heike 885-1027 for answers to your questions. We hope to see you there.
